With a bachelor's degree in Cognitive Science and Film from UC Berkeley and master's degree in Learning Design from Harvard University, I combine the study of perception with the theories of storytelling for educational good. These theories, merged with work experience from the entertainment industry, make up an inter-disciplinary approach to my immersive content — premiered at Tribeca Film Festival, the Emmy Awards, and Sundance Film Festival.
When creating my experiences, I'm trying to figure out:
How will the experience leave viewers with a sense of curiosity for the world?
How can we use story-driven experiences to educate viewers?
How might the visual style keep viewers engaged in the world?
My interests in content creation lie in
Creative Direction
When creating immersive films, production design is key. We build a world to tell the story in. And in VR films, every single angle in the 360 degree shot matters.
Meaningful Narrative
At the end of the day, if my experiences guide you into a new train of thought, I’ve done my job. To do so, story matters, but more importantly the visualization of the story matters. To truly bring viewers into the narrative, they need to see the world differently.
